I’m Renata Meirelles, a Brazilian-born, New York–based photographer and director, working globally across photography and film.
Alongside my fine art practice, I lead BLACK3, a boutique photo and film agency based in NYC with global operations. With a cinematic eye and a quiet, human approach, we create visual narratives grounded in authenticity, precision, and long-term observation.
After a decade living in Brooklyn, I began A Decade in Brooklyn — my first photography book — as a way to translate time, migration, and becoming into black-and-white images.
Alongside my artistic and commercial work, I’m also involved in social impact projects through Life Beyond Parkinson’s, supporting storytelling initiatives that raise awareness around neurological diseases — always with the same standards, care, and responsibility.
On this site, you’ll find my fine art photography, selected works from ongoing projects, and a living archive of images that continue to evolve over time. Each piece is approached with intention, restraint, and care — meant to be lived with, not rushed.
